Referring Friends
Your own username is your referral code — bring a friend in and you both get something for it.
There's no separate code to generate or copy from a settings page — your username already is your referral code. Send a friend a link built from it, and if they sign up through it, you're both rewarded once they get their feet under them.
Your referral link
Take this pattern and swap in your own username where it says YourUsername:
https://nightmistlegacy.com/register?ref=YourUsername
For example, if your account username is Steve, your link is https://nightmistlegacy.com/register?ref=Steve. Send it however you'd share anything else — Discord, a forum post, a chat message.
What your friend gets
Anyone who registers through your link gets a +100 gold welcome bonus added to their starting bank balance on their very first character — on top of the usual starting gold everyone begins with.
What you get
A referral only counts once your friend's character reaches level 5 — simply registering isn't enough, so this rewards people who actually stick around and start playing.
As your successful referrals add up, you earn a series of achievements, each rarer than the last:
- Recruiter — your first successful referral.
- Talent Scout — 3 successful referrals.
- Ambassador — 10 successful referrals.
- Community Pillar — 25 successful referrals.
These are earned by your account, not any one character — referring friends isn't tied to whoever you happen to be playing. Once earned, they show up on every one of your characters' profile pages, alongside that character's own achievements.
