FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Nightmist Legacy.
Is Nightmist Legacy free to play?
Yes. The game is completely free. There are no premium currencies, pay-to-win mechanics, or subscription fees. Create an account and start playing instantly.
How many characters can I have per account?
Each account can hold up to 20 characters. You can connect up to 8 characters simultaneously in a single session.
What classes are available?
Fighter, Mage, Cleric, Thief, Ranger, Paladin, Druid, and Berserker. Each class has its own spell list, stat weights, and playstyle.
How do I gain experience?
Kill monsters in the world. Experience is shared with party members in the same room. The server may also run XP multiplier events.
What happens when I die?
You respawn at your bound tavern with 25% HP and MP. A mob that kills you takes all your hand gold. You also lose a small portion of your current experience. Some items may drop to the ground on death.
What is hunger and thirst?
Your characters slowly become hungry and thirsty over time. When either drops below 75, your HP and MP regeneration slows. Visit a church to eat and drink, restoring 50 hunger or thirst each time. This system is gentle โ it affects regen speed, not survival.
How do parties work?
Invite another player with /invite <name>. The party leader moves the group between rooms. XP from kills is shared between party members in the same room.
What are clans?
Clans are player-formed guilds. Clan leaders can recruit members and officers. Clan support is being actively expanded.
How does player trading work?
Use /trade <player> to send a trade request to someone in the same room. Once accepted, a trade window opens where both players offer items and gold. Both sides must confirm before the trade executes. You can also drop gold on the ground with /dropgold <amount> for quick transfers.
How do banks work?
Visit a bank room and use /deposit <amount|all> to store gold safely. Use /withdraw <amount|all> to retrieve it. Bank gold is never lost on death.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
Submit a support ticket from the Support page. Include as much detail as possible โ what you were doing, what happened, and what you expected.
Can I be banned?
Yes. Violating the Rules of Conduct (see Rules page) can result in a temporary or permanent ban. We take cheating, harassment, and exploiting seriously.
How is my data handled?
We store only the data needed to run your account and characters โ your username, hashed password, and in-game progress. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
